Ingredients For Whipped Feta Dip
- Feta Cheese: Use a block of good quality feta from the refrigerator, avoid pre-crumbled feta as it can be too dry, affecting the smoothness of the dip.
- Ricotta Cheese: Opt for full-fat ricotta for added texture. You can also try fresh goat cheese for variation.
- Sour Cream: For an extra smooth and creamy dip. You can also use full fat Greek yogurt.
Ingredients for Spicy Honey
- Honey: Choose good quality honey and add it after sautéing the garlic. Avoid heating the honey directly.
- Olive Oil: Use for sautéing the garlic.
- Garlic: Finely minced or pressed to impart flavor to the honey.
- Lemon Juice: Adds a balancing flavor.
- Toppings: Options include crushed red chili flakes, chopped chives, za’atar, black & white sesame seeds. Get creative and personalize the dip with your favorite toppings.
Helpful Tips
- Whip it good! Make sure to use a food processor, a stand mixer is not able to break down the feta well enough.
- You can make this recipe beforehand, but be sure to bring it to room temperature before serving. The texture will become firm when refrigerated.
- For best, thick consistency, use full fat feta, ricotta and sour cream. Otherwise your dip might turn out watery.
