Spicy Moroccan Salmon


slice the lemon

mince the garlic

finely chop the onion

grate the ginger

season the salmon

heat oil and butter over medium

add salmon fillets

sear, about 3-4  minutes per side

remove from skillet

place lemon slices in a single layer

cook 30 seconds on both sides

remove from skillet

add garlic, onion  and ginger, cook for 3 minutes

add salt, pepper,  cumin and  coriander

add tomato paste, stir for 1 minute

deglaze with  vegetable broth,  simmer for  2 minutes

add chili paste and crushed tomatoes

simmer for 3 minutes

meanwhile, chop parsley and cilantro

add chopped parsley and cilantro

add salmon

add olives and caramelized lemon slices, simmer for 3 minutes

finish off with black  pepper, parsley and cilantro
