Spicy Bacon  Orecchiette

dice the onion

mince the  garlic cloves

divide the broccoli  into florets, then cut  the florets into  bite-sized pieces

boil orecchiette  in salted water  3 minutes less  than al dente

heat your skillet  over high,  add bacon and  cook until crispy

add onion and garlic,  cook for 2 minutes

add broccoli  to orecchiette,  boil for 3 minutes

stir in thyme,  tomato paste and  gochujang paste

pour in cream,  bring to a simmer

scoop up 1/2 cup  cooking water,  drain orecchiette  and broccoli

add orecchiette  with broccoli  and a splash of  cooking water,  toss to coat

finish off with  freshly grated  black pepper
