Shrimp in Whiskey Butter Sauce

peel and  devein shrimp

combine with spices, set aside

mince the garlic

chop the parsley

heat oil and butter in a skillet

place shrimp  in a single layer

sear for 1 minute per side

remove from skillet

add garlic, cook until fragrant

add spices and flour, stir for 1 minute

deglaze with whiskey, simmer for 2 minutes

pour in broth, bring to a boil

add lemon juice  and parsley

stir in butter, piece by piece

allow to simmer until the sauce starts to thicken

add shrimp, toss to combine, simmer for 30-60 seconds

finish off with black pepper, parsley and red pepper flakes
