Red Pesto Spaghetti Bolognese

mince the  garlic cloves

dice the onion

chop the sun-dried tomatoes

heat oil from  sun-dried tomatoes  over medium

add garlic  and onion, sauté until soft

add ground meat

cook until  golden-brown

add salt, pepper,  paprika, oregano,  sage and  red pepper flakes

stir in  tomato paste

add puréed tomatoes

add sun-dried  tomatoes simmer for  10 minutes

meanwhile, boil spaghetti  in salted water  until al dente

stir the sauce occasionally,  chop the parsley

when ready,  scoop up 1/2 cup  cooking water, drain the spaghetti

stir in red pesto

add milk, simmer for  5 minutes

toss in spaghetti

finish off  with parsley, add a splash of  cooking water  if needed
