Polish Dill Soup

dice the potatoes

dice the carrots

chop white and light green parts of the scallions

finely chop the onion

mince the garlic

chop the dill

heat butter over medium low, add garlic and onion, cook for 1 minute

add carrots  and scallions,  cook for 2 minutes

add salt, pepper, marjoram, turmeric, nutmeg and bay leaf

add potatoes, peas and chicken broth

bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 15 minutes

stir in sour cream

add dill and cook, uncovered for 5 minutes
