One-pan Spanish Chorizo with Shrimp and Corn

cut the bell pepper in half, remove veins and seeds

slice into long strips

cut the ear of corn  crosswise into pieces

slice the chorizo

mince the garlic

finely chop the onion

heat oil & butter in a skillet

add shrimp, sprinkle with seasoning

sear 1 minute per side

remove from skillet

add chorizo, cook for 2 minutes

add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant

add bell pepper

sauté for 5 minutes

stir in tomato paste

add spices and bay leaf

pour in chicken broth

add corn,  simmer for 10 minutes

sprinkle with lemon juice

add shrimp, simmer for 1 minute

finish off with chives
