Easy Chicken Tikka Masala

cut chicken into bite-sized pieces

add chicken, yogurt, paprika, salt, chili flakes and tikka masala paste to a bowl

toss to combine, set aside to marinate

finely chop the onion

mince the garlic

heat oil and butter over medium,  add half of the chicken

place in a single layer, cook for 2 minutes, next stir for 1 minute

remove from skillet

repeat with the remaining chicken

melt butter, add onion and garlic, cook for 2 minutes

stir in salt, paprika, turmeric, coriander, cumin and sugar, cook for 1 minute

add tikka masala paste, cook for 2 minutes

add tomato purée, simmer for 5 minutes

add coconut milk

add lime juice and chicken pieces

simmer for 10 minutes, meanwhile chop the cilantro

when ready top with cilantro and red chili, serve over rice
