Chicken Shawarma Soup

dice the potato

dice the carrot

finely chop the shallot

mince the garlic

heat oil in a large pot

add garlic and shallot, sauté until soft

add spices

stir in tomato paste

pour in broth, bring to a boil

add carrot and potato, cover, simmer for 15 minutes

when ready, add chickpeas and chicken, cook for 5 minutes

finish off with parsley, black pepper and  red pepper flakes
