Brown Butter Asparagus Pasta

cut the asparagus  into bite-sized pieces

mince the  garlic cloves

boil the pasta  al dente  in salted water

heat oil over,  medium high,  add bacon, cook until crispy

add asparagus, cook for  3-5 minutes

add garlic, cook for  2 minutes

stir in salt,  pepper, and chili flakes

remove from skillet

add butter, stir until melted

cook until butter  starts to turn  golden brown

add bacon and asparagus

drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup cooking water

toss in pasta

turn off the heat, stir in Parmesan

add a splash  of cooking water,  toss to combine
