Braised Chicken with Red Onions

season both sides of the chicken legs with salt, pepper and paprika

slice the red onions

mince the garlic

heat oil and butter overmedium in an ovenproof skillet

add chicken legs, skin side down, cook for 2 minutes

reduce heat to medium low, cook for 10 minutes

turn, cook for 10 minutes more

remove from skillet

add red onions, cook for 2 minutes

add garlic, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, oregano and brown sugar, cook for 2 minutes

pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil

turn off the heat, add chicken legs

cover, bake for 30 minutes at 450°F / 220°C

remove the foil, sprinkle with pine nuts, bake for 15 minutes at 320°F/160°C
