Ingredients for truffle garlic bread
- Bread: Choose your favorite! Italian ciabatta, French bread, a baguette, brioche, or even bagels all work beautifully.
- Truffles: Marinated shaved black truffles in olive oil are my go-to, but fresh black truffles, truffle zest, or truffle butter are amazing options. White truffles? Absolutely!
- Butter: Use plenty of softened salted butter for that melt-into-the-bread goodness. If you only have unsalted butter, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt. High-quality butter is key, and for a vegan twist, swap it with margarine or plant-based butter.
- Garlic: Fresh garlic cloves are a must for that bold, authentic garlic flavor—skip the powder or pre-chopped stuff.
- Parmesan: Freshly grated Parmesan adds a salty depth and a luxurious touch.
- Herbs: Keep it simple with freshly chopped chives to let the truffles shine, or swap in fresh parsley if that’s what you have on hand.
What to serve with cheesy truffled garlic bread
This indulgent garlic bread is versatile enough to shine on its own as an appetizer or side dish. The rich truffle flavor pairs beautifully with hearty meats like beef, pork or chicken, as well as elegant seafood dishes with shrimp or salmon.
For a classic combo, serve it alongside salads, soups, or your favorite pasta dishes: spaghetti, lasagna or creamy fettuccine. It also makes a fantastic dipper for any flavorful spread or sauce. Whatever you pair it with, this garlic bread is guaranteed to elevate your meal!
Storing tips
- Leftovers: Keep any leftover garlic bread covered at room temperature for up to 1 day.
- Reheating: Wrap it in foil and warm it in the oven at 350°F/180°C for about 10 minutes. It’ll be just as delicious as when it was freshly made!

After spreading the garlic-truffle butter mixture on the bread halves, place them in a single layer inside a freezer-friendly bag.
Store the bread in the freezer for up to 3 months.
When you’re ready to enjoy, let the bread sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes, then bake as directed. It’ll taste just as fresh and delicious as the day you made it!
