Ingredients for creamy dill chicken
- Chicken Thighs: Boneless, skinless thighs are perfect, but chicken fillets, cutlets, tenders, or bone-in thighs work too. Just remember, bone-in will take longer to cook. You can also swap the chicken for turkey fillets.
- Dill: Fresh dill is key for the best flavor – much better than dried!
- Cream: Heavy cream adds richness and creates a smooth sauce, but you can use half-and-half if you prefer something lighter.
- Olive Oil and Unsalted Butter: For searing the chicken and getting that perfect golden-brown crust.
- Seasoning: A simple mix of sweet paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- All-Purpose Flour: Helps thicken the sauce.
- Shallot: Adds essential flavor to the sauce.

Recipe tips
- Nail the perfect sear by cooking the chicken thighs in a mix of oil and butter for about 5 minutes per side until they’re golden brown. This creates a beautiful crust that locks in the juices, guaranteeing tender, juicy chicken every time. Don’t rush it—let the pan work its magic for that delicious, crispy finish!
- For a creamy, dairy-free alternative, swap the heavy cream for unsweetened full-fat coconut milk or soy cream. Each option brings its own rich texture without sacrificing flavor!

Serving tips
You can make a complete meal out of this recipe. Serve it with:
- Creamy mashed potatoes
- Crispy potatoes
- French fries
- Egg noodles or pasta

Storing tips
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
