Ricotta Polenta with Drunken Meatballs

add ingredients for the meatballs to a bowl

mix until just combined

roll into balls

mince the garlic

thinly slice the onions

heat oil and butter in a non-stick skillet

add meatballs

brown on all sides

remove from skillet

add oil and butter

add onions and  cook for 5 minutes

add garlic

stir in oregano, thyme, pepper and flour

pour in brown beer

add broth

add meatballs and the released juices

simmer over low

meanwhile, bring milk and broth to a boil

add polenta

cook for 2-3 minutes

turn off the heat, add ricotta

add Parmesan  and butter

season with salt and pepper, cover, let stand for 1 minute
