Crispy Garlic Butter Potatoes

cut the potatoes  in half lenghtwise

place in a pot, add hot water

add salt, cover, cook about 20 minutes

check the doneness, drain well

heat oil and butter in a large skillet

add potatoes

place cut-side down, cook for 5 minutes

turn, cook for 5 minutes more

add spices, stir and cook for 1 minute

finish off with parsley or fresh thyme
