Cabbage Roll Meatballs

boil rice according package directions in salted water

cut the cabbage in very thin slices

then finely dice

combine the diced  cabbage with salt, set aside

finely chop the shallot

mince the garlic

chop the parsley

to the cabbage, add ground pork,  eggs, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, dried onion, garlic powder and cooked rice

mix to combine

divide mixture into 8 balls, press down gently

heat oil and butter over medium high, add pork patties

add garlic and shallot, cook for 3 minutes

turn the patties, cook for 2 minutes

pour in chicken broth

add salt, pepper, paprika, sugar and marjoram

cover, simmer for 15 minutes

next, add tomato purée

simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes

when ready, sprinkle with parsley, enjoy!
