grate the ginger

grate the  garlic cloves

finely chop 2 tbsp  of the scallions'  dark parts

cut the  remaining parts  into small pieces

add ingredients for the meatballs  to a bowl

mix until  just combined

add scallions

roll the meat  into balls

combine ingredients for the sauce

boil rice according  package directions

heat oil  over medium

add meatballs

brown on all sides, about 5 minutes

add ginger  and garlic

sauté until fragrant

add the  prepared sauce

simmer for  10 minutes

add scallions, cook for 1 minute
