One Pot Tomato Beef Orzo

mince the  garlic cloves

dice the onion

heat oil and butter  over medium

add ground beef, break up into pieces

cook until brown

add onion, garlic,  salt, pepper,  paprika, thyme,  oregano  and cinnamon,  cook for 2 minutes

deglaze with  red wine,  simmer for  2 minutes

stir in tomato paste

stir in orzo

pour in  chicken broth

add bay leaf, simmer for  15 minutes

meanwhile, chop the parsley

don't forget to stir occasionally

add extra broth,  if needed

sprinkle with  lemon juice, stir in Parmesan

top with parsley, black pepper  and chili flakes
