Hungarian  Pork and Potatoes

cover the pork chops with cling film, gently pound into an even thickness

season both  sides with salt and pepper

chop potatoes into bite-sized pieces

chop potatoes into bite-sized pieces

mince the  garlic cloves

thinly slice the onion

heat oil and butter over medium high, add pork chops

sear 2 minutes per side

remove from skillet

add onions and garlic, cook for 3 minutes

stir in the sweet and smoked paprika

add tomato paste, cook for 2 minutes

stir in flour

add potatoes

add chicken broth and soy sauce

return pork chops to skillet, nestle between the potatoes

add bay leaves, cover, simmer for 40 minutes

when ready, top with parsley and black pepper
